Private Event
The parking lot is booked from 9am to noon.
The arenas are open to those members who are able to ride to the grounds, but please be advised that there will be increased traffic, lots of people, and multiple cars and busses around the facility.
The parking lot is CLOSED to haul ins during this time period.

The Rodeo Grounds are closed to everyone for the day to allow for spraying of invasive species.
In the evening the Summerland Fire Dept are having a combined training session with BC Wildlife Fire Service.
Open as normal tomorrow.

Dressage Test % Day
Join us for the first Dressage % Test Day of the season.
Ride your test and receive constructive and encouraging feedback from our judge, Sabine Rusticus, in addition to your ribbon! A great way to perfect your test for the start of the show season.

Come join us April 11th at the Summerland Rodeo Grounds for our first Fun Day - Gymkhana style event. We welcome all stages of riders, disciplines and horses. We make intro to the gymkhana world fun and helpful!!

Summerland Rodeo Grounds now OPEN
The Summerland Rodeo Grounds are now open to members.
In order to keep our horses happy and healthy, and restrict the transmission of diseases, we are reliant on the compliance of our members. Everyone must play their part, be honest, and adhere to the rules - no exceptions!
The facility (including parking lot) is open to SRGEDC members only
No access to the facilities for any horse or rider from a barn with an active positive or suspected strangles outbreak, or who has had exposure to a barn with an active suspected or positive strangles outbreak
No access to the stalls for anyone
All riders must fill in the rider log on the arena gate
All riders must abide by the rules posted on the arena gate
Please do not come to the grounds if your horse has a raised temperature or is showing ANY signs of illness. If in doubt, stay at home until you are sure they are well.
Members who are fully paid up and have completed waivers will be emailed with the access code.

Closed To All Equestrian Activities
Due to the ongoing situation regarding the strangles outbreak in the Okanagan, the SRGEDC has made the decision to close the Summerland Rodeo Grounds until further notice. The facility is now closed to all equestrian activities.
We hope that the outbreak is successfully eliminated and that we are able to reopen and return to our spring series of events soon. We urge everyone to closely monitor the situation and follow recommended bio-security protocols.
Thank you for your cooperation and we will update you with further information as and when we receive it.
Construction Underway- Limited Access
The roadway to the Rodeo Grounds will be under construction this week. Access to the facilities will be limited.
We would advise members not to attempt to haul in while the work is underway. Please contact the SRGEDC if you urgently require access at this time.

Clear Rounds Schooling
Clear Round Schooling Day
Come and jump around a course of stadium jumps in our main arena, in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere! All levels are welcome - lead rein to professional riders, trot poles to grand prix (well, maybe not quite that high ;-)). You tell us the height you want, and we’ll set the course as you wish.
We will book time slots, so you can come at your allocated time, warm up over a couple of jumps, then jump a round or two. Our volunteer ground crew will put up any knocked poles and raise/lower jumps as desired. Solo riders and groups are both welcome - we will assign time slots according to the number of riders in your group. Coaches are also welcome but not required.
Cost - $10 per rider/members, $15 per rider/non-members

Number of riders in your group and their names
Membership status for each rider and HCBC number for each rider
Height you would like to jump
Preferred time (we will try to accommodate preferences where possible but can’t guarantee this)

The upper field and washrooms are booked. Access to the arenas is open to SRGEDC members, but please be aware that the area around the arenas will be being used for dog training. Dogs will be unleashed. We advise avoiding using the Rodeo Grounds during this event to ensure the safety of all concerned.
