Fundraising

The Summerland Rodeo Grounds is a public facility, currently operated by the District of Summerland Parks and Rec Department. While limited funding is in place to cover basic operating costs, several user groups have identified the desire for improvements above and beyond what the District has to offer.

Located on 70+ acres of beautiful Okanagan terrain, existing facilities include a large outdoor riding arena with grandstand, a warm-up arena, clubhouse and concession.

Some of the high-priority items on the wish list include:

  • outdoor lighting
  • permanent covered stabling
  • camping sites with water and electricity

Other desired updates include:

  • washrooms with showers
  • kitchen facilities
  • indoor riding arena

Our current fundraising involves hosting equine events at the Rodeo Grounds, with any profits being directed towards the District for site improvements and repairs.
